Hostmaster will begin using international practices for resolving domain disputes.
IT publications around the world are increasingly reporting brand disputes over various domains. Ukraine is no exception: Google's battle for google.ua is currently on everyone's lips, but this story isn't the first and, unfortunately, won't be the last. Apparently, this is why the information about Hostmaster, the .UA domain registry,plansThe idea of creating the possibility of resolving domain disputes according to international standards, similar to the UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) or similar procedures, has attracted the interest of both registrars and registrants.

"International organizations have long been developing various wayspre-trial resolutiondomain conflicts. One of the most common is the use of the UDRP procedure - the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy in accordance with practiceWIPO(World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center). As a pre-trial remedy, UDRP does not eliminate the possibility of litigation, but it allows for a case to be avoided and is characterized by its speed, affordability, and convenience for the parties.
UDRP procedureis usedIn nearly a hundred ccTLDs (geographic top-level domains) and, in accordance with ICANN regulations, in all generic domains (com, net, biz, info, etc.). Other national domains use similar procedures, based on the UDRP procedure and taking into account their own specifics.
Ukraine is also being pushed towards the inevitability of such steps by studying its "neighboring" practices. For example,Prague meeting of the CENTR organization, which unites predominantly European registries of country domains, discussed the experience of the participants and "hosts" of the meeting in implementing alternative pre-trial methods.
The Internet Dispute Arbitration Center, based in the Czech Republic, is one of four global UDRP providers.creation of the .EU domain this Centerbegan providing dispute resolution services for the .EU domain. It now also provides services for the .aero, .asia, .biz, .cat, .com, .coop, .info, .jobs, .mobi, .museum, .name, .net, .org, .pro, .tel, and .travel domains.
As you can see, the UDPR is the primary, but not the only, method for resolving domain disputes. For example, in the .EU domain, the ADR procedure is used (administered by a Czech court). It's worth noting that domains are not particularly relevant to arbitration: they are just one of many types of disputes related to the internet and e-commerce. The decisions of such Arbitration Centers are available online, and Ukrainian lawyers regularly take advantage of the opportunity to familiarize themselves with domain dispute resolution practices.
One of the Czech Center's distinctive features is its focus on providing client support in their native language. The Czech Republic's establishment of a professional environment for alternative dispute resolution in the .EU domain has given the country something more valuable than any amount of money: experience. At the same time, citizens of the European Union and post-Soviet countries now have the opportunity to conduct domain disputes in their native languages.
There are already known cases of Ukrainian companies resolving domain disputes both in WIPO and in the Czech Republic, and in the future, we would like to create the opportunity for domestic users to resolve domain disputes in their home country."
