Huawei accused a competitor of patent infringement.

Huawei Technologies, a Chinese network equipment manufacturer, has accused its competitor ZTE Corp of infringing its patents, trademarks, logos, and technologies.

The Chinese manufacturer has filed lawsuits in courts in Germany, France, and Hungary. The violations are present in some network card models. Furthermore, ZTE is infringing patents related to 4G LTE technology.

Although both companies are based in China, the lawsuit was brought in Europe because European laws are stricter in dealing with copyright infringers.

Huawei claims that it paid $22 million for licenses and spent $2.5 million on developing its own technologies, and therefore does not intend to give up its developments now.
