Vietnam's IDN domains are more popular than regular ones.

Nearly 300,000 names have been registered in Vietnam's IDN domain. This number was reached within two months of the start of IDN registrations on April 28, 2011.

The 300,000 figure means that the number of IDN domains has surpassed the number of registrations in the standard English-language .VN domain. Currently, there are over 200,000 domain names registered in .VN.

Experts expect the number of IDN registrations in Vietnam to increase in the future.
