Phishing emails are being sent impersonating GoDaddy
A phishing attack has been detected on the Internet, in which the name of one of the largest domain name registrars, GoDaddy, appears.
The message claims that ICANN conducts an annual check of all domain name registrants' contact information. The message's authors urge recipients to verify/update their personal information.
This email contains a link to a malicious website whose name is similar to the registrar's website name but differs by a few characters (goldldaddy***).
Such mailing may indicate an attempt to steal domain names from their owners.
