India received several IDN domains

ICANN has approved the creation of seven regional language domains for India: Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil and Telegu.

Websites using these domain names will not appear for at least six months, as the country must resolve a number of technical issues.

In particular, some words can be written in multiple ways in a single language, and some languages ​​use the same alphabet. Before launching domains, it's important to anticipate any issues that may arise once domain name registrations begin.
