A second Cyrillic-scripted domain has been delegated to the Internet.

Following Russia, Serbia has received a Cyrillic domain. The .СРБ domain will be the second domain extension in this country.

ICANN has approved the delegation of the Cyrillic domain zone. A public discussion on the principles contained in the Serbian Cyrillic Domain Registration Guidelines is scheduled for the near future.

The delegation of the .СРБ domain and the launch of registration are planned for the second half of 2011. As a reminder, the first Cyrillic domain was the Russian domain .РФ.

ICANN has received 33 applications for IDN domains so far, 21 of which have already been approved.
