A Spanish company has won a patent lawsuit against Apple.

Spanish tablet PC manufacturer Nuevas Tecnologias y Energias Catala (NT-K) has successfully overturned a court injunction on the import of its products, which had been previously imposed following a lawsuit filed by Apple.

Back in 2010, Apple banned the import of NT-K tablets into the Spanish domestic market. The Spanish company won an appeal and accused Apple of anti-competitive behavior in the market.

NT-K also demanded compensation for losses incurred during the ban. The company's management estimated that they had previously planned to sell approximately 15,000 tablets in 2011, with a total value of €4.5-5 million.

The NT-K case marks the first time a court has sided with Apple in a patent dispute.

As a reminder, Apple has successfully secured a ban on sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in several countries worldwide, citing Samsung's alleged infringement of Apple's iPad design patents.
