The Italian .IT domain has surpassed 2 million registrations.

In the Italian domain zone .IT registeredMore than 2 million domain names were delegated. The anniversary domain was delegated in mid-October.

Thus, the number of domain names registered here has doubled over the past five years. This makes the Italian domain zone fifth in Europe, behind Germany's .DE, the United Kingdom's .UK, the Netherlands' .NL, and the European Union's .EU.

Currently, the most popular domain zone remains .COM with a total of more than 90 million domain names, in second place is the .NET domain with 13 million, and in third place is .ORG (8.8 million).

The Italian domain entered the global top 10 ccTLD domains.
