Jooble launches startup incubator

Ukrainian product company Jooble announced the launch of an internal startup incubator. It is seeking fresh ideas in job search and recruitment and intends to invest between $100,000 and $2 million in the new program. The company plans to support 10 projects within a year.

As you know, Jooble is actively developing its eponymous job search service, which is used in 69 countries worldwide. Now the company has decided to expand into another area of ​​work: Product Innovations. And the initiative to create a startup incubator is part of this new project.

Product Innovations

The concept is based on identifying interesting ideas and initiatives in the area of ​​professional development and employment for IT specialists. According to Alexey Orlov, Chief Product Innovations Officer, the company is open to proposals and ideas from both Jooble employees and external sources.

"We're gathering insights that will help confirm the need for such a solution among potential clients. We're also determining the market size. For this purpose, we'll be hiring analysts to join the incubator team," says Orlov.

Opportunity to create new business projects 

Product Innovations' main goal is to find interesting ideas and help bring them to life. The company views the incubator format as an opportunity to gather and explore new ideas and transform the most promising ones into business projects.

The work plan for new projects consists of several stages:

• market research;
• concept presentation;
• protection of the business plan;
• Approval of investment rounds: pre-seed, seed, series A.

Jooble plans to position all projects as its own products, but starting with the seed round, startups will be able to attract funding from third-party investors.

Creating viable products

According to the new project's manager, "the company understands the risks of working with startups," but the team is ready to "go through the process of making mistakes, working with hypotheses, and creating viable products."

Priority segments for the development of new Jooble products within the framework of the announced initiative:

• Improving job search marketplaces by creating modern services for career guidance and specialist training;
• development of productive systems for automating job advertising and the candidate selection process;
• Implementation of effective HR marketing solutions based on job posting data analytics.
