Kenya to block .XXX porn domain

The Kenyan government has announced it will block access to the newly approved .XXX domain extension.

The reason for the blocking will be to limit Kenyan children's access to pornography. Although the authorities do not plan to impose any censorship, restricting access to pornography in the country will only be a matter of enforcing the country's laws. Pornography is prohibited by law in Kenya.

It is noteworthy that the comment regarding the blocking of the .XXX domain was made on the 20th anniversary of World Press Freedom Day.
