More than 900,000 names are registered in the Cyrillic domain .РФ.

The 900,000th domain was registered in the national Cyrillic domain zone .РФ on Friday night. Thus, a year after registrations began in the .РФ domain, the number of registered names is approaching one million.

For example, in the .RU domain zone, the three million domain mark was reached 16 years after the start of registration.

Currently, more than half of all domains (63%) have been delegated for use by their owners. Ru-Center leads the way in registrations (43%), followed by Reg.ru (22%), and Hosting Community (15%), which announced its acquisition of Ru-Center in March.

As of September 2011, over 90% of domains registered during the Sunrise Registration Period were renewed.

It is expected that 10-15% of domains registered after the start of open registration will not be renewed.
