Kodak files patent claims against Apple and RIM

Kodak has filed patent claims against Apple and RIM, alleging that their iPhone and BlackBerry phones infringe Kodak's patented digital imaging technology, photo preview technology, and some computing technologies.

The patent dispute will continue in court, as the companies were unable to resolve the issue peacefully.

Kodak filed its complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. District Court.

According to Kodak, its developments are used in phones from LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson, but their creators promptly settled all possible patent claims by concluding a corresponding agreement with Kodak.

Kodak is seeking a ban on the import of mobile phones that infringe the company's intellectual property.
