The number of domains in RuNet has grown by 37% in a year.

According to a report by Ru-Center, in 2009 the number of domain names in the .ru zone increased by 37%.

The Russian domain has entered the list of leaders among other country domains.

Additionally, in 2009, priority registration of domains in the Cyrillic domain .РФ began on the RuNet. The priority registration period for trademark owners ends on March 25, 2010. It is expected that up to 10,000 second-level domains will be reserved during this time.
