The number of names in the British .UK domain has exceeded 9 million.

The 9 millionth domain was registered in the British domain zone.

The administrator of the .UK domain zone reports that users have been actively registering domain names this year. This year alone, the number of domains in the UK domain zone has increased by one million, or 11%.

Analysts explain such data by the generally stable economic situation.

Currently, among national domains, the British .UK domain zone is second only to the German .DE domain zone in terms of the number of names, which contains 12 million names.
