Hostmaster announced the start of the reorganization of the .UA domain.

The .UA domain administration has initiated changes to the rules governing the Ukrainian domain. Specifically, it plans to begin developing a new set of documents governing the operation of the .UA domain. A preliminary version of these documents will be discussed online and at meetings with market participants, primarily public domain administrators.

The current .UA Domain Rules were adopted ten years ago. The primary purpose of those rules was to initiate the operation and development of the Ukrainian domain.

The current state of the Ukrainian domain market requires changes and new regulations. Regional public domains are currently actively developing on the Ukrainian Internet, and the possibility of pre-trial resolution of domain disputes is being discussed. However, the market demands changes to the rules governing domain operation, specifically a new approach to trademarks when registering private second-level domains.

A group of specialists has developed documents regulating the status of the .UA domain. These documents will help resolve all issues that have arisen in the Ukrainian domain market. The foundational document will be the "Regulations on the .UA Domain," which regulates legal relations between domain market participants. Meanwhile, the technical aspects will be defined by the "Regulations for the .UA Domain," the regulations for public domains, and other documents.

The first stage will involve a discussion of the ".UA Domain Regulations" with Ukrainian public domain administrators, and registrars will join the discussion later. Roundtable discussions are planned, and regional market participants will be able to participate remotely via videoconference.

Following the completion of the discussion of the "Regulations on the .UA domain" and the inclusion of proposals from market participants, the document will be presented to the Ukrainian Internet community.
