Apple has failed to secure a ban on sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the Netherlands.
South Korean company Samsung has achieved another victory in its patent war against Apple. The Court of Appeal in The Hague, Netherlands, refused to ban sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The hearing was one of a series of court hearings in the patent disputes between Apple and Samsung.
As a reminder, Apple accuses the South Korean manufacturer of copying design elements, interfaces, and packaging from the iPad and iPhone. In response, Samsung accuses Apple of infringing patents related to wireless data transmission.
The Hague Court of Appeal ruled that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is not a copy of the iPad and can therefore be sold in the Netherlands. However, Apple and Samsung are still battling in a dozen other countries around the world.
