Apple wins Appl.com domain
A domain arbitration court has awarded Apple the domain name Appl.com.
When filing its arbitration complaint, Apple submitted documents proving that it owns the "Apple" trademark. Accordingly, the Appl.com domain is confusingly similar to the company's trademark.
In addition, the defendant registered and used the domain name in bad faith.
The Appl.com page had been running pay-per-click advertising since 2005. Therefore, the arbitration court awarded the domain to Apple.
