Missouri-based Bing is suing Microsoft.

Missouri-based Bing Information Design has filed a lawsuit against Microsoft Corp., accusing it of illegally using the name of its search engine, Bing.

The company's representatives stated that the largest software corporation is obliged to pay the advertising costs of Bing Information Design and compensate it for damages for the illegal use of its name.

Bing Information Design began using its name back in 2000. In May of this year, the company applied to register the trademark "Bing!" but was denied because the trademark was already registered by Microsoft.

The plaintiff, Bing Information Design, claims that Microsoft has destroyed the company's efforts to gain popularity and stand out from other design companies.
