ASUS has been accused of patent infringement by a manufacturer of transforming toys.

Hasbro has filed a lawsuit against Taiwan's ASUSTeK Computer Inc. The lawsuit accuses ASUS of illegally using the Transformer Prime name for a tablet.

The copyright holder is asking the court to award monetary compensation and ban the sale of Transformer Prime in the United States.

Hasbro said in a statement that the company is using Hasbro's intellectual property for its own financial gain.

Hasbro created Transformers robots back in 1984.

One of the main characters in the series is named Optimus Prime, and Asus has Transformer tablets and Optimus Prime tablets.
