Priority domain registration for the Cyrillic .КАЗ domain will begin by the end of 2011. During this period, government agencies and trademark owners will be able to register domains.

Let us recall that the ICANN organization recently approved the creationCyrillic domain zone .КАЗ for Kazakhstan.

The .КАЗ domain will become the third Cyrillic domain zone after .РФ andSerbian domain .SRB. It is possible that the fourth Cyrillic domain will be .УКР – let us recall that in March of this year, ICANN announced the successful completion of the String Evaluation stage of the domain zone in the native language (IDN), declaredUkraine.
