Control over the .KG domain will be transferred to Kyrgyzpatent.

Kyrgyzpatent's DNS servers have successfully completed testing, which was conducted as part of the redelegation of the .KG domain. The redelegation was carried out to implement the Presidential Decree transferring control of the .KG domain to a government agency. To this end, an official application was submitted to redelegate the administration of the national .KG zone to the international corporation ICANN.

To organize the redelegation, Kyrgyzpatent prepared all necessary regulatory documents to ensure the high-quality administration of the .KG national domain zone. The previous domain administrator was the private company "AsiaInfo."

Kyrgyzpatent received a response from ICANN stating that the four servers installed by Kyrgyzpatent had been successfully tested by IANA experts.

Technical issues related to the redelegation process will now be resolved in accordance with the previously signed "Protocol of Intent" between Kyrgyzpatent and the company "AsiaInfo".
