The Coordination Center presents a new statistical online resource

The Coordination Center for the RU domain, together with the Internet Technical Center and the Openstat statistical service, announced the launch of a new project - the "Domains of Russia" resource (domainstatistics.rf or statdom.ru).

The "Domains of Russia" resource provides daily updated statistics covering all aspects of the Russian internet segment. The site provides information on how many domain names are currently registered in Russian domain zones, how many of them already host websites, which region of Russia has the most domains registered, and when new domain zones are expected to appear.

The resource also features a unique "World Statistics" section, which collects monthly data on the number of domain names in the largest (over a million domain names) national top-level domains.

In addition to domain statistics, the website also provides data on the web servers hosting websites in the .RU and .РФ domain zones, as well as the operating systems installed on them. There's also a group of reports called "Audience Technometrics," which provides data on browsers, mobile devices, and the providers through which users access the internet. It also provides information on the geographic distribution of Russian internet users.

The "Analytics" section contains a wide variety of analytical materials. These include reports describing key trends in the development of the domain space and the internet in Russia and globally, as well as complex, specialized studies covering all aspects of the industry's development. One such study, for example, is devoted to the linguistic analysis of domain names in the .РФ domain.

The main indicators for .RU and .РФ are data from a web crawler scanning websites using domain registries, and specialized counters from the Openstat service. Registry data is processed daily using Openstat's technical tools to generate reports, graphs, and charts. To analyze the development of .RU and .РФ domains, specialists from the CC and TCI use the most comprehensive set of metrics, which have never before been made available to users in such a comprehensive manner. For example, data on the use of second-level domains in the .RU and .РФ domains is obtained by analyzing all domain names registered in these domains, rather than a sample of them.
