Microsoft is once again suing the owner of the windows.ru domain.

The Moscow Arbitration Court continues hearings on Microsoft's lawsuit against Dmitry Shapovalov, owner of the windows.ru domain name.

The lawsuit seeks a violation of Microsoft's exclusive rights. The plaintiff argues that these rights are being infringed by the owner of the windows.ru domain, and therefore Microsoft is demanding an injunction prohibiting the use of the Windows trademark in the domain name.

Along with Dmitry Shapovalov, DEMOS-Internet CJSC, the registrar of the windows.ru domain, is also facing legal action. The windows.ru website is currently blocked.

A representative for defendant Dmitry Shapovalov stated that, other than two letters from Microsoft, the defendant had not received anything else and therefore did not understand the essence of what was happening.
