The largest torrent tracker on the RuNet turns seven years old.

On September 18, 2011, RuTracker.org, the largest torrent resource on the RuNet, celebrated its seventh anniversary. The site has over 9.8 million registered accounts and over 1.1 million downloads.

In terms of total torrent volume, RuTracker has already surpassed the well-known The Pirate Bay, making the service one of the largest torrent trackers on the planet.

On its birthday, the website's administration commented on the Torrents.ru domain name issue. The company does not plan to revert to the old domain, as this would cause significant inconvenience to users and website owners. Furthermore, such a move is unsafe.
