Microsoft has calculated the productivity of cloud technologies.

Microsoft recently launched Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 for business users. Both applications have received positive reviews from users worldwide. More than 8.5 million people are already using these products. Users were particularly interested in the collaboration features and access to their documents from any computer connected to the internet.

Interest in cloud and collaboration technologies is currently at an all-time high. Forrester researchers published a study on the effectiveness of cloud technologies. The study found that companies using the updated Microsoft suite of applications can achieve a more than 300% increase in return on investment (ROI) within three years.

Currently, over 40 million users work with Microsoft online services. Microsoft Online Services are flexible business applications. They allow you to transfer data for specific employees or specific types of information, such as email content, to external file storage.

Over 90 million Microsoft business users now have access to the web-based version of Office Web Apps. This service includes online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. Along with easy access to documents from anywhere, web apps allow users to save document versions, allowing them to find the document they need at any time. Furthermore, files in the new app can be viewed not only through the client app. The service also features document conversion for convenient viewing on a phone or in a browser online.

Large companies such as Kraft Foods, Novartis, Codelco, Transcorp, and Phaeton Automotive are already using Office Web Apps technology. These companies' specialists claim to have found features they were previously missing in the new versions of Office Web Apps.
