Microsoft introduces new products in the Microsoft Dynamics line
Microsoft Corporation opened the Convergence 2010 conference by unveiling the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online update. Stephen Elop, head of the Microsoft Business Division, and Kirill Tatarinov, vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions, demonstrated new Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP products that will help organizations improve customer engagement and achieve greater business success.
Microsoft executives announced an update to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, which will be released in May 2010. The new version will feature full integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP, support for new languages, and improved performance. Furthermore, the new version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online will feature cloud-based developer tools for integrating the system with cloud technologies.
"The real value of Microsoft products for customers is that our solutions demonstrate superior interoperability and offer customers the ability to leverage global best practices in organizing their own business processes," commented Stephen Elop on the launch. "The upcoming releases of Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM fully align with this philosophy and provide solutions that work well together and integrate easily with existing IT infrastructure."
The updated Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online system will focus on integration with other systems, data, and users. The new version of the product will include a number of accelerators for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, including the Event Management scheduling service, eService, and Partner Relationship Management tools, which will allow organizations to expand the reach of CRM components to include external partners. Furthermore, the update includes new tools for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Software Development Kit (SDK) developers, enabling the use of the company's cloud technologies, specifically Windows Azure.
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online update will be available in 16 countries by August 1, 2010, and in an additional 32 countries in the second half of the year. Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online will be available for Ukrainian users starting in August 2011.
Another new product is Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail, an ERP system for mid-market retailers. It will be available in 16 countries beginning August 1, 2010, and in most countries worldwide, including Ukraine, beginning early next year. Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail offers a range of features and online services specifically tailored to the retail market. The corporation's partners, including Avanade Inc., Columbus IT, Fujitsu, Hitachi Consulting Corp., Ideaca, Junction Solutions, and Tectura Corp., are already developing their solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail.
