Fraudsters are actively using free domains

Research firm Zscaler notes that hackers have become increasingly active in using malicious sites on the free .TK domain.

More than 6 million links leading to online stores containing malicious code have been discovered online.

These stores claim to sell goods at reduced prices, but in reality they infect users' computers with viruses.

Security experts point out that creating your own malicious website is much easier than hacking and infecting someone else's, which is what virus authors take advantage of.

Moreover, users are often unaware that they are browsing an infected online store, unlike hacked pages.
