Motorola is demanding a ban on sales of Blackberry communicators in the US.
Motorola is seeking a ban on sales of Blackberry smartphones in the United States. The phone manufacturer has filed a complaint against Research in Motion (RIM), the developer of the popular Blackberry smartphone. The complaint alleges infringement of Motorola's patents, specifically those related to wireless internet access.
Motorola filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC). The complaint will be reviewed for about a month. Based on its findings, a decision will be made on whether to launch a full-scale investigation. Such an investigation could take 12 to 14 months.
