Motorola is guilty of infringing one Microsoft patent.
The U.S. International Trade Commission has found Motorola Mobility guilty of patent infringement. According to the commission's ruling, Motorola is infringing a Microsoft patent.
Microsoft initially filed a complaint accusing Motorola of infringing seven patents.
As a reminder, Motorola Mobility is in the process of being acquired by Google. Meanwhile, Motorola views the Commission's decision as a positive one.
The disputed patent is of minor importance, and the company can easily abandon the disputed solutions. Failure to do so could result in a ban on sales of its devices.
In an official statement, Motorola said the company welcomed the commission's decision and was prepared to resolve the violation as soon as possible.
