Registration for the national domain of Kazakhstan .КАЗ has begun in Kazakhstan.

Let us remind you that ICANNapprovedapplication for the .КАЗ domain in September of last year.

Nurlan Isin, President of the Kazakhstan Association of IT Companies, explained how the domain introduction will be carried out: "Stage 0: preparation and testing of the .kaz domain name in the registry, registration of the test.kaz domain name to verify its functionality by all interested parties in the internet community. Stage 1: reservation of special-purpose domain names, domain names for the needs of government agencies and the presidential administration, and domain names for the technical needs of the registry. This will be carried out from April 1 to 30."

Next, during the second stage, which will last from May 1 to July 30, priority registration of domain names will begin for holders of trademarks, trade names, and trade names that were registered before December 31, 2011.

The third stage will start on August 15, 2012, when open free registration of domain names will begin.

The administrator of the new top-level domain is the Kazakhstan Association of IT Companies.

The .КАЗ domain became the third Cyrillic top-level domain in the world. The first two are the Russian .РФ and the Serbian .СРБ.
