According to Netcraft, 485 million websites were active online at the beginning of September. This is 4.8%, or 22 million web resources, more than the previous month.

Apache remains the most popular web server, serving approximately 315 million resources, with its served base growing by 14 million hosts in just one month. Overall, the Apache web server doubled the number of websites served over the year.

The American internet host Softlayer, as well as hosters BurstNet and AmeriNOC, have actively expanded their service base.
