Nadiyno — an emergency aid for digital security

There's a lot of advice online, but the problem is knowing which information can be trusted. This is especially true when it comes to protecting sensitive, confidential data that could be intercepted. Therefore, it's important to use trusted sources.

Digital Security Emergency Assistance Platform

The Nadiyno platform was created as part of the "Digital Emergency Support for Civil Society in Ukraine" project by Internews-Ukraine. It is implemented with the support of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development Canada (GAC) through eQualitie Inc. Nadiyno's information partners are the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the national project "Action. Digital Education."

Prerequisites for the creation of the platform

According to project manager Kateryna Tsybenko, a study of Ukrainians' digital needs conducted in October 2022 found that 64% of respondents had experienced online security-related crises.

It also turned out that 55% of respondents had below-average digital skills. Security for popular messaging apps (Viber, Telegram, Facebook Messenger) leaves much to be desired and is not adequate for transmitting sensitive information.

The purpose of creating Nadiyno:

• increasing the digital literacy of Ukrainians;
• assistance in overcoming current online threats;
• Expert information on the protection of personal data and computer devices to enhance online security for ordinary Internet users;
• Qualified support from hotline operators and other digital security specialists (via chat or via the contact form).

Nadiyno is a platform where you can get help strengthening your online security and protecting yourself from online threats. Information is provided in a user-friendly format. Nadiyno is currently in beta testing.

End-to-end encryption is a key fundamental characteristic of a secure digital communications tool. When choosing a messenger, pay special attention to this aspect.

Therefore, anyone who cares about the security of their data (and their own, of course) is interested in information about choosing messengers. They also want to know how to protect their correspondence in them.

The Nadiyno website, for example, has answers (both short and detailed) to common questions:
