NIC.UA has begun accepting preliminary applications for Cyrillic domains in .com.ua and .kiev.ua.

NIC.UA registrar offers its clients the opportunity to register Cyrillic domains in the .com.ua and .kiev.ua zones. The company's clients can now submit a preliminary application for domain name registration in Cyrillic.

Cyrillic domains can look like this, for example: “firma.com.ua” or “firma.kiev.ua”.

The cost of a preliminary application for Cyrillic domains ranges from 73 to 137 UAH, depending on the client's cumulative discount according toregistrar's tariffsStarting July 22, the price of Cyrillic domains .com.ua and .kiev.ua will be the same as the price of Latin-script domain registrations.

Each client may submit any number of applications. All applications will be processed immediately after the registration period, scheduled by Hostmaster for July 22nd of this year. Until this date, registration applications will be marked as "in progress."

If the domain is not registered, the application status will change to "closed," and the full amount will be refunded to the client's NIC.UA account. This money can be used for other services provided by NIC.UA, such as registering another domain or renewing an existing one.
