NIC.UA is recognized as the leading registrar in Ukraine.

A commission of leading experts from Ukrpatent confirmed that the well-known Ukrainian domain registrar and hosterNIC.UANIC.UA holds a dominant position in the national market, its services provide industrial and educational value to Ukraine, and it successfully operates internationally, representing the country's interests. As a result, NIC.UA received the right to use the country designation "UA" in its own trademark.

To obtain a trademark using the national name of Ukraine, a company must undergo a special procedure. A separate commission is created to consider granting such permission, but many applicants are rejected.

According to Ukrainian law, registration of a trademark with the name "Ukraine" or Ukraine's international code "UA" is only possible if the applicant company meets certain requirements. Specifically, the company must hold a dominant position in the Ukrainian market in its field of activity and have been operating there for at least five years. The goods or services provided by the company must be unique, characteristic only of Ukraine, and have industrial, scientific, cultural, or educational value in our country.

The certificate of registration of the trademark "nic.ua" has been assigned a number162086 V State Register of Certificates of Ukraine for Trademarks for Goods and ServicesThe brand received legal protection under classes 35, 38, 42, and 45 of the International Classification of Goods and Services.

Previously, NIC.UA held the trademarks NIK and NIC. Now, by acquiring the "nic.ua" trademark, it has once again confirmed its status in the market and gained full rights to use its logo, which includes Ukraine's international code "UA."

NIC.UA is the first domain registrar in Ukraine to receive the right to use the country designation "UA" in its own trademark.
