Merger of online auctions Aukro.ua and Auction.ua

In 2010, the two largest online auctions in Ukraine, Aukro.ua and Auction.ua, merged under a single platform – the Aukro.ua online auction. Thus, Aukro.ua became the largest online auction service in Ukraine. Aukro.ua is part of the Allegro Group, which provides e-commerce services in many European countries, including Poland (allegro.pl), the Czech Republic (aukro.cz), Romania (aukro.ro), Russia (molotok.ru), and many others.

This unification is primarily beneficial to users, both buyers – who will receive a larger number of products on a single platform – and sellers – for whom the increased customer base will increase sales.

Following the merger, Aukro.ua becomes one of the largest e-commerce services in Ukraine. Given its growing popularity among internet users, Aukro.ua is expected to become the leader in the Ukrainian e-commerce market in the near future.

Since 2003, we've gone from completely rejecting the very idea of, 'What online auction in Ukraine? Where is Ukraine, and where are online auctions...?' to today, when buying and selling at online auctions in our country is becoming increasingly fashionable, and the two most popular online auctions in Ukraine already have over 100,000 daily visitors.

The idea of ​​synchronizing Auction.ua and Aukro.ua has been brewing for a long time, as the majority of active users are registered on both online auctions. Some features are more convenient to use on Auction.ua, while others are more convenient to use on Aukro.ua. People trade the same items at the same prices and are forced to perform virtually the same actions, just using different interfaces. Why bother them? It makes much more sense to provide them with one stable location where they can devote more time and attention to their transactions, which will ultimately contribute to the continued growth of online auction trading.

More and more people are shopping online – it's more convenient, cheaper, and faster. Many shop in online stores, and you can search for products on classifieds and forums. But online auctions have recently become increasingly popular. These are marketplaces where, instead of a single seller like in a store, there are many sellers, resulting in a truly vast selection of products. And prices are generally lower than in online stores. After all, anyone can register and not only buy the product they want but also bid on it as an auction seller.
