The "Father of the Internet" does not rule out Ukraine receiving a Cyrillic domain.

The creation of domains in national languages ​​has become especially popular in the last two years. Despite the potential problems this process may pose, prominent figures are advocating for the creation of such domain zones.

Thus, during his Moscow lecture, Vint Cerf, "Vice President of Google and Supreme Apostle of the Internet," one of the developers of the TCP/IP protocol, stated that the emergence of domains in national languages ​​has become a necessity for the modern Internet.

Vint Cerf announced that ICANN plans to expand the list of supported domains in national languages ​​and delegate several new domain zones. The countries applying for these domain zones are Ukraine, Palestine, Jordan, Tunisia, and Bulgaria.
