Priority registration for .УКР domains has opened.
September 11, 20136th International Conference of Administrators and RegistrarsFollowing the registration of national top-level domains in Greece, the administrator of the .УКР domain announced the stages of priority domain registration.
To register a .УКР domain during priority registration, please submit a pre-order request atspecial page, and shortly you will receive a letter in which we will ask you to provide information for priority registration within stages 3-5 (see below).
Domain registration in stages 1 and 2 does not take place through registrars. If you are applying for priority registration of .УКР domains under the terms of the first two stages,contact your domain administrator.
If your information is not suitable for priority registration of the desired domain, you will have the opportunity to register it by pre-order after the opening of free registration of .УКР domains.
Priority registration stages
✎ Stage 1, from August 22, 2013— registration is open to government agencies and senior government officials. At this stage, domains such asPresident.Ukr,Казмін.укр.
✎ Stage 2, approximately the end of September 2013.— names of local government bodies, government positions, geographical names, names of international organizations, etc. will be available for registration.
For example, UN.ukr, Poland.ukr.
✎ Stage 3, from November 4, 2013— registration is open for trademarks that have received registration on the territory of Ukraine under national or international procedures, for international names of pharmaceutical substances, goods of geographical origin and geographical names that have the corresponding registration on the territory of Ukraine.
For example, Nik.ukr, Paracetamol.ukr, Mirgorodska.ukr, Dnepropetrovsk.ukr.
✎ Stage 4, from December 4, 2013— at this stage, the names of intellectual property objects registered in Ukraine are registered, including the names of famous works (films, songs, literary works, etc.).
For example, Nese-Gala-vodu.ukr.
In addition, full or abbreviated commercial (company) names that are registered in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and entered into the Unified State Register will be registered.
For example, Dnepropetrovsk-pipe-plant.ukr.
As well as domains corresponding to the names and surnames of famous people whose activities are directly related to Ukraine.
For example, Taras-Shevchenko.ukr, Ruslana.ukr.
✎ Stage 5, approximately January 2014.— names and surnames of well-known cultural figures in Ukraine (science, education, art, literature) and their creative pseudonyms, religious figures, politicians, economists and athletes.
For example, Mykola-Amosov.ukr, Klichko.ukr, Andrey-Shevchenko.ukr.
