Pirates in Europe Receive "Veto Power"
The European Court of Justice has issued a ruling prohibiting the prosecution of those who download pirated content.
Providers were prohibited from analyzing traffic and blocking certain types of traffic, in particular, restricting users' access to torrent trackers or other content.
Experts call this decision a landmark decision for the entire IT industry, as cases of users being prosecuted for downloading illegal content have recently become more frequent, and even cases of legal proceedings regarding such precedents are known.
The EU believes that such restrictions are a restriction on the right of EU residents to disseminate information and the right to privacy.
