Almost 30 more pirate websites have been shut down.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has shut down 29 more pirated websites. These include torrent trackers, search engines, and file-sharing sites. The list of these sites has not been released.

All websites were shut down without prior warning. This silent closure of resources does not comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

The MPAA doesn't have the authority to deny hosting services to a website, but its authority allows it to contact hosting companies to request that they cease servicing such resources. Domain delegation for such websites has been terminated.

In addition, it became known that during this year, approximately 600 websites were closed by the Dutch anti-piracy organization BREIN.
