For a million you can get a personal domain
British company CentralNic has launched a domain name registration service.dotFamilyNameThis service allows you to register any personal domain name in your own domain – a name like paris.hilton or barak.obama.
This opportunity became available as a result of the New gTLD program—the launch of top-level domain zones. The company positions this service as a VIP service.
Commenting on the launch of this resource, one of the company's executives noted that wealthy individuals often spend over $500,000 to obtain luxury license plates for their luxury cars. dotFamilyName offers to purchase a luxury domain.
As a reminder, under the New gTLD program, you can register your own top-level domain for $185,000.
Not only companies, but also individual cities – Moscow, London, Paris – have shown interest in such domains.
