Pornography accounts for 37% of total internet traffic

Thus, every third web page on the internet contains pornographic content. This is the conclusion reached by specialists at Optenet, a developer of web content filtering systems. The data was obtained by analyzing the performance of these systems and data from 4 million web pages.

In the first quarter of 2010, the number of pornographic pages increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2009. However, the number of sites on other topics, such as online gaming, increased by 212%. At the same time, the number of sites with illegal content also increased: for example, sites on violence increased by 10.8%, on terrorism by 8.5%, and on drugs by 6.8%.
