Portmone.com has confirmed its compliance with the PCI DSS security standard.
Portmone.com, an interbank electronic bill payment and delivery system, has received another certificate confirming its security system's compliance with the international PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This is the third time Portmone.com has received this certificate since 2008.
Portmone.com was the first company in Ukraine to successfully pass this certification.
"Portmone.com is the official Ukrainian payment service provider for Visa and Mastercard, and ensuring online payment security is our top priority," commented Igor Gorin, Portmone's CEO.
The PCI DSS security standard, which combines the requirements of international payment systems for ensuring information security, was developed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, which includes international payment systems Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express and Discovery.
As a reminder, PCI DSS requirements apply to banks, payment service providers, merchants, technology service providers, and other organizations whose activities involve the processing, transmission, and storage of payment cardholder data. The primary focus is on ensuring the security of network infrastructure and protecting stored payment cardholder data.
