Copyright holders have filed claims against the creator of the torrent tracker OiNK.
Representatives of the International Phonographic Industry (IFPI) have filed claims against Alan Ellis, the creator of the torrent portal OiNK, and plan to initiate legal proceedings against him.
The torrent portal OiNK was shut down by the International Phonographic Industry Association back in 2007. The portal's creator was arrested and charged with copyright infringement, but was later acquitted.
Now, OiNK's creator is accused of fraud – the charges stem from collecting user funds. According to Alan Ellis, the money was used to support the portal.
