Expedia's online hotel booking service has launched on Travel@Mail.Ru.
Travel@Mail.Ru has launched a new service: online hotel booking. Its key feature is that users can obtain up-to-date information on accommodation conditions, independently book, and pay for their preferred room in virtually any hotel worldwide, all in just a few clicks.
Expedia, Inc., a global leader in online hotel booking services worldwide, has partnered with Travel@Mail.Ru for the new service. With over 70 offices in more than 40 countries, Expedia works with all popular hotel chains and provides secure and reliable bookings virtually anywhere on the planet.
The service's database includes over 100,000 hotels. When booking, you can select your desired travel dates and accommodation options (including accommodations for children of various ages), choose your room type, and pay by credit card.
"Recently, the Russian tourism market has seen a trend toward travelers planning their own vacations without using agencies—it's cheaper and more effective. It's for this category of users that we've launched an online hotel booking service, unique in its scale and convenience. We have no doubt it will gain significant popularity," said Anna Artamonova, Vice President of Mail.Ru.
"Russia is one of the key countries in which Expedia plans to actively expand geographically. We already have a successful track record of long-term collaboration with many popular online resources around the world, and we are delighted to welcome Mail.Ru as our partner. We have worked diligently to ensure this joint project best meets user needs. We plan to continue our efforts to ensure our colleagues can fully appreciate the benefits of working with Expedia," added Anna Smith, Expedia's Director of Emerging Markets Expansion.
