REG.RU introduces a new tool to protect customers from spam.
According to REG.RU, approximately 60% of all registered domains have email service enabled. A customer survey conducted by the registrar shows that approximately 90% of email owners are concerned about spam and require additional protection. Listening closely to customer needs, REG.RU is introducing a special service, "Extended Spam Protection," based on REG.RU's unique developments, as well as Russian and international technologies.
In anticipation of the service's launch, REG.RU invited its customers to participate in a survey on email spam. According to the survey, 30% of respondents receive more than 10 spam emails per day, while 56% receive less, up to 10 emails per day. A significant number of respondents (68%) never click links in spam messages. According to respondents, the spam problem is not only caused by spammers (32%), but also by the lack of clear legal regulation in this area (36%). The majority of respondents (approximately 60%) do not take additional anti-spam measures, although 70% would like to do so.
The "Extended Spam Protection" service can now be enabled for any domain hosted by REG.RU, regardless of the hosting provider or email service associated with the domain. Enabling this service will provide the highest level of protection against unwanted email. One component of the "Extended Spam Protection" service is Yandex's "Spam Defense" software, based on the same algorithmic and linguistic developments as Yandex search. Every email in an email account enabled for "Extended Spam Protection" will be simultaneously scanned for signs of spam by multiple filters and an antivirus program.
