Retweet.com sold for $250,000.
Recently wereportedThe domain name retweet.com was listed for online auction. Yesterday, the domain sold for $250,000.
Interestingly, there were only 45 bids on the domain, the last price was $202,000, but the buyer was probably afraid of losing an interesting domain and used the "buy it now" feature.
As for Retweet.com's future, its value lies solely in its domain name. As a content aggregation service, the project has failed to gain sufficient popularity. It's difficult to say what the new owners will do with the site; perhaps they'll build some kind of Twitter-focused service.
