Another pirated website has been shut down in Russia.

Russian police shut down the website PuzKarapuz.ru for hosting pirated cartoons.

The website's owners were charged with committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 146, "Violation of Copyright and Related Rights," of the Russian Criminal Code. The website's owners are the former owners of another pirate website, interfilm.ru, which was shut down a year ago.

After this, its owners launched PuzKarapuz.ru. The site offered free content, and the owners earned money through banner advertising.
