Russian companies are preparing to apply for new gTLDs.

Russian companies and public organizations are preparing to submit applications for new top-level domains. The total number of new domain zones could exceed twenty.

So far, it is known for certain that the domains .ДЕТИ, .СКОЛКОВО, .МОСКВА are planned to appear in Russia.

The application for the .ДЕТИ domain is submitted by a fund established by the Coordination Center (CC) of the national Internet domain and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

Together with the Skolkovo Foundation, the Coordination Center plans to apply for the .SKOLKOVO domain.

Domains bearing the name of the country's capital will be launched by a foundation affiliated with the Hosting Community registrar.

As a reminder, this summer, the ICANN international corporation approved the New gTLD program, which will simplify the process of submitting applications for new top-level domains.

The application period for their registration will begin on January 12, 2012 and will last for three months.
