Russian Google continues to sue over domains

In early April, a hearing will be held in Moscow on Google Inc.'s lawsuit against the owners of the domain names googl.ru and gugl.ru. The company is demanding a ban on their use. The domains are owned by Weblink Ltd.

At present, the court, following a lawsuit filed by Google, has prohibited the transfer of administration rights for the domain names googl.ru and gugl.ru to other persons, another registrar, and the renunciation of administration rights.

Although Google representatives are demanding that the merits of the claim be considered, the defendant company's representatives are asking for the consideration to be postponed because they have not yet reviewed the case materials.

Let us recall that Google recently received the rights to the domainsgoogla.com and googleim.com. In addition, a few months ago Google finally managed to obtain the right toUkrainian domain google.ua.
