Ru-Center is ready to sue the Coordination Center for the National Domain
Ru-Center plans to sue the National Domain Coordination Center (NTDC). The legal proceedings could result from the blocking of Ru-Center's domains, which NTDC representatives announced this week.
Ru-Center believes the decision by the Coordination Center for National Internet Domains (CC) to block domains in the .РФ zone is unlawful. In a statement, the company described this decision as one that unlawfully interferes with the company's operations.
As a reminder, yesterday the CC blocked all Cyrillic domains registered to Ru-Center. The blocking occurred after Ru-Center failed to comply with the CC's demands to cease auctions. No further transactions will be possible with the blocked domains until the investigation is completed.
Ru-Center registered these domains during the preliminary application process.
Furthermore, Ru-Center notes that the holding of auctions by registrars was discussed by the CC board before the start of open registration, and the board members did not object to them. Such closed auctions are consistent with international practice for opening registration in new domain zones and do not violate legislation or registration rules.
However, Ru-Center believes that if the issue is resolved at the Coordination Center's board meeting, there will be no need to file a lawsuit.
